ABRASIVE SYSTEM
Bulk abrasive Hopper:The system includes a completely integrated Bulk Transfer Vessel, with reinforced flexible transfer hose. The system uses shop compressed air, and can be placed to either side of the cutting table, and has a maximum capacity of 800 lbs.
Digital Abrasive Control (DAC): Digitally commanded from the PC Control system, DAC provides precise metering and control at the cutting head. The system is computer controlled, the desired abrasive flow rate can be quickly changed at the PC control.
CONTROL SYSTEM:
provides multiple options that improve cutting control, as well as including costing, array nesting, and other features that are “extra” on other waterjet systems.
Control Console: Calypso systems utilize a roll around, industrially hardened console that contains the PC computer; control electronics and servo drive
hardware. The PC utilizes the current standard in PC processor speed and hard drives and Windows OS. The system includes a Ethernet card and external sealed Ethernet port. The console has an external 4-port USB hub to accept memory sticks.
Exterior cables plug directly to military grade connectors on the main control circuit board and operator buttons reside on the front panel board.
HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM:
The system utilizes a 30HP 60KPSI Intensifier Style Pump Manufactured Exclusively for Calypso by KMT Waterjet System. This pump is fully integrated to the operating system and controller of the machine and features:
- Dual Pressure Control for automatic High/Low cycling of pressure.
- Long slow stroke intensifier for extended seal life.
- Ceramic plungers for increased plunger life.
- Cartridge quick-change hydraulic seal design.
- Long seal life design.
- High efficiency Heat Exchanger
